Introduction of blogs
The internet is filled with variety information whether it is news, books or blogs. Blogs uniqueness comes from design, identity and advertisement. Perez Hilton, Nomadic Matt and Timothy Sykes have different varieties of blogs, but are similar in the way the blog webpage is part of a website.
Design of blogs
The designs of the websites are different. Nomadic Matt and Timothy Sykes’ websites are simpler, easy to navigate and more trustworthy compared to Perez Hilton based on color choice.
The information was easy to read on all sites but Nomadic Matt and Timothy Sykes have the sites have information and pictures more spread out. Perez Hilton’s font choice was more difficult to read compared to the others.
Nomadic Matt and Timothy Sykes’ websites choose to use blue in their design, and the color blue represents trustworthy and loyalty. Perez Hilton chooses the color pink. It makes one think that the site is more geared to look like a tabloid or magazine.
Identity of blogs
The purpose of these blogs would be to inform, but the information that the blogs cover are different. The purpose of the Timothy Sykes is to inform the audience about financial issues. While Nomadic Matt aims to inform travelers about traveling. With different purposes, the voice of the blogs is different.
The voice characteristics of these three blogs are different. For instance, Timothy Sykes identity characteristics would be trustworthy, formal, educational and professional. On the other hand, Perez Hilton characteristics could be unformal, conversational and journalistic.
Advertisement of blogs
Websites can have many different types of advertisements. Majority of individuals would come up with the traditional pop up ads; however, there are links take can create a different form of advertisement.
Perez Hilton and Nomadic Matt blog sites majority have the traditional pop up whether it is picture or motion picture ads. Perez Hilton has many still picture advertisements. Timothy Sykes site has limited traditional ads.
Some sites can advertise third parties sites or can advertise for the same blog site. All three websites have links to other blogs which promote other blogs within its site. Looking at The Penny Sock Game: Don’t Be a Player, Be a Sniper, this article is primarily link advertising dominant.
Conclusion of blogs
When creating a blog, the creator has many decisions to make. Blogs allow the creator to create a personality for the website through design, identity and advertisements. Nomadic Matt, Timothy Sykes and Perez Hilton have different characteristics that make the blog stand out from the others.
